R47 series class X1, 440VAC, 110C (automotive grade) metallized polypropylene film EMI suppression capacitors. R47 is constructed of metallized polypropylene film encapsulated with self-extinguishing resin in a box of material meeting the requirements of UL 94 V-0. Automotive grade devices meet the demanding automotive electronics council’s AEC-Q200 qualification requirements. It is suitable for use as an electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression filter in across-the-line applications requiring X1 safety classification. Intended for use in situations where exposure to a shock in the event of capacitor failure is not possible. X1 classified capacitors are for use only in a permanently connected apparatus with a connection to mains which cannot be loosened without the use of a tool.
